The Dogs Trust was in the Scottish Parliament last week asking MSPs to support strict regulation of electronic dog shock collars
Neil Findlay MSP said:
I was pleased to sign this letter of support. I have previously supported action against the use of electronic shock collars and I’m pleased that they are now prohibited unless under the guidance of a vet or approved trainer. However, we need to ensure that this is strictly regulated and that so-called approved trainers are properly trained, this is especially important given that there is no regulation of animal trainers in Scotland. The Dogs Trust is doing an important job in protecting dogs in Scotland and I wish them every success in this latest, important campaign.
