Stoneyburn Health Centre, which is part of Breich Valley Medical Practice, has lost its GP provision since the beginning of June.
That means that Stoneyburn residents will now have to travel to Fauldhouse if they need to see a GP.
This is having a detrimental impact on the elderly, sick and disabled and those without access to a car.
I attended a packed public meeting which showed real anger from the local community about this decision. I have also consulted with Stoneyburn residents via a survey in which they expressed their frustration at their local GP services being moved to another village.
This is part of a wider workforce crisis that is happening nationwide under the SNP Government.
I will continue to press NHS Lothian & the Cabinet Secretary for Health & Sport, Jean Freeman, on this important local matter.
