Citizen’s Advice Scotland, in partnership with Energy Saving Scotland, launched ‘Energy Saving Week’ last Monday.
The campaign aims to offer help, support and advice to consumers to help cut down on energy bills and ensure financial support is accessed for those who are entitled to it .
For many vulnerable people, the energy market is confusing and difficult to navigate and, as a result, some can be losing out financially by being on too high a tariff. With 25% of Scottish households living in fuel poverty, Citizens Advice Scotland, alongside Energy Saving Scotland, have worked to promote energy efficiency and cost-effective heating.
Neil Findlay MSP said:
“This initiative by Citizens Advice and Home Energy Scotland will help everyone who engages with them, but it will particularly help the most vulnerable in our society get access to the help, advice and resources they need.”
