Local MSP, Neil Findlay, has welcomed improved Scotrail service from Edinburgh-Glasgow via Shotts, which will offer frequent services to Breich train station.
The new timetable, which will commence as of 19 May 2019, will offer hourly services from Breich from Monday-Saturday and two hourly services on Sundays – a vast improvement on the previous service, which rarely stopped at Breich station.
Neil Findlay, who previously campaigned to stop Breich station from closure, has welcomed these improvements.
Neil Findlay MSP said:
“I am delighted that this month we will see regular and frequent train services from Breich station to both Glasgow and Edinburgh.
“It is only right that our towns and villages, especially in rural areas like Breich, have adequate transport links. I very much welcome this move by Scotrail and I would encourage local residents to make good use of these changes.
