Local MSP Neil Findlay visited Arnold Clark Livingston today to meet with apprentice mechanics as part of this year’s Scottish Apprenticeship Week.
Mr Findlay was met by a group of enthusiastic mechanical apprentices who are excelling in their chosen career.
Scottish Apprenticeship Week, which is coordinated by Skills Development Scotland, is running from 4-8 March 2019.
This campaign has been designed to promote apprenticeships, in a variety of sectors, and to show the value in work-based learning.
Neil Findlay MSP said:
“I was delighted to spend my morning at the Arnold Clark Garage in Livingston where I spoke to enthusiastic mechanical apprentices about their work.
“Scottish Apprenticeship Week is vital in showcasing the value of work-based learning.
“It is a way of showing that there are a variety of starting points to a career – whether it be college, university, work or an apprenticeship – there is no one size fits all approach.
“I wish all of the apprentices from today the best of luck with their career – they have a very bright future ahead of them.
