Last week, Poppy Scotland visited the Scottish Parliament with their pedal bike, encouraging MSPs to pedal the extra mile for Scotland’s veterans.
Local MSP, Neil Findlay, geared up to participate in this year’s event.
The Poppy Ride is campaign that aims to bring attention to yearly remembrance events and to call for much needed funding, advice and assistance for former, and current, veteran’s and their families.
Neil Findlay MSP said:
“I was thrilled to take part in this year’s Poppy Ride – Poppy Scotland is a charity that is vital in advocating for Scotland’s veterans.
The pedal was tough this year; but I would encourage everyone to do their bit to either raise awareness, or donate, so that veteran’s receive the support that they deserve.”
