Local MSP Neil Findlay has this week raised concerns that alterations to bus timetables are continuing to cause discontent across West Lothian.
The new First Bus timetable was introduced Monday, 6th August after a consultation process that brought about many changes.
Neil Findlay has called for a public meeting regarding the situation with local buses.
Neil Findlay said:
“Clearly there has been a lot of confusion about the new bus schedule in West Lothian, so I am calling for a public meeting to resolve these issues.
“Many constituents have contacted me expressing concern that the new First Bus timetable has created a notable deterioration in many services. For example, less frequent stops, the loss of direct services and lengthier journeys are amongst the majority of complaints. I will be relaying these concerns to First Bus on behalf of local people, but they should also have the opportunity to express them directly.
“With any new timetable problems are going to arise, but more needs to be done to meet the needs and understand the concerns of local people.”
