MSP Welcomes Malawi Partnership to Parliament

The Scotland/Malawi Partnership were in Parliament last week explaining to MSP’s their work in helping to developing and enhancing the links between Scotland and Malawi and the work they are doing to help achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MDG’s). Amongst many things the MDG’s are intent on reducing poverty, alleviating hunger, providing water and sanitation and ensuring all receive a good education.

MSP Welcomes Summer Holiday Breakfast Initiative in Fauldhouse

News that Fauldhouse Partnership Centre will be providing breakfasts free of charge during the summer holidays has been welcomed by local MSP, and resident of Fauldhouse, Neil Findlay.

The initiative led by Fauldhouse Partnership Centre & West Lothian Financial Inclusion Network will provide the children of Fauldhouse a free breakfast during the summer holidays. It will start on the 3rd of July on Monday’s to Wednesday’s between 10am-11.30am in Fauldhouse Partnership Centre.

Park Home Owners Ask Local MSP To Help Them End 10% Rip Off

Park home owners were in Parliament last week asking local MSP Neil Findlay to help them with their campaign to end the 10% commission charge paid to landowners of Park home sites when they sell their home. They told MSPs that paying 10% commission to the landowners was unfair and unjust.

Whitburn RBS Bank Closure Condemned by Local MSP

The latest closure of a branch of the RBS in West Lothian has been condemned by local MSP Neil Findlay.

The proposal by RBS to close their branch is the latest in a series of closures in West Lothian, including at Fauldhouse, Broxburn, Armadale and West Calder.

Local MSP Calls on Civil Aviation Authority to Call Halt ‘Shambolic’ Edinburgh Airport Consultation

Following last week’s public meeting about Edinburgh Airport Airspace Change Programme Second Consultation Neil Findlay MSP has written to the Civil Aviation Authority. Mr Findlay is asking them to halt the current ‘shambolic’ consultation and start anew with a new consultation document based on up to date and accurate information and with an inclusive process that takes account of all affected residents.
