The Scotland/Malawi Partnership were in Parliament last week explaining to MSP’s their work in helping to developing and enhancing the links between Scotland and Malawi and the work they are doing to help achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MDG’s). Amongst many things the MDG’s are intent on reducing poverty, alleviating hunger, providing water and sanitation and ensuring all receive a good education.

I was delighted to meet people from the partnership and hear about the great work they do in cultivating and cementing links between Scotland and Malawi. The work they do is a credit to our country and more importantly is doing vital work to help improve the lives of so many people in Malawi.
