Local Lothian MSP Neil Findlay has today taken the opportunity to say thank you to everyone in the bus and coach industries during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Drivers, engineers, cleaners, transport managers and many other transport workers have worked relentlessly – putting their own lives at risk – throughout the coronavirus crisis to keep people and services moving through this crisis.

It should also be recognised that a number of transport workers across the country have contracted COVID-19 and tragically died as a consequence.

Labour MSP, Neil Findlay MSP said:

“Today and everyday we should be thankful for the key workers, who have worked so hard through one of the darkest times in recent history.

“During the coronavirus pandemic key workers like transport workers have risked their lives and many have tragially lost their lives.

“Transport workers have been nothing short of heroic during these challenging times.”
