Local MSP, Neil Findlay, has remembered the Holocaust on International Holocaust Memorial Day on Sunday 27 January – the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, which was the largest Nazi concentration camp.
International Holocaust Memorial day seeks to remind people of the horrors of genocide and encourages everyone to play their part in creating a better, and more tolerant, world.
Lothian MSP Neil Findlay attended West Lothian Council’s Holocaust Memorial Service in Livingston to remember all of those who endured genocide.
Neil Findlay MSP said:
“It was an honour to attend the local West Lothian Holocaust memorial service to remember all of those who endured persecution at the hands of the Nazis. “It is a reminder that we must resist hate, prejudice and intolerance at every turn. We all have a part to play in creating a better future.
